Elements ... what was required?
Brochure, print advertising, product packaging, building signage and in-store displays.
Background ... what was the issue?
Melbourne based water pump and irrigation specialist, Davey Water Products is a market leader in industrial and domestic water treatment and pumping. With the move to better health Davey was increasing its presence in the residential market sector for water treatment, recycling and pumping.
Brief ... what needed to be done?
Davey Water Products needed to update their communication to match the quality of their product. At the time the application of their brand was inconsistent and dated. As part of their update they had already refreshed their brand identity and produceda traditional set of brand rules. However, there were no guidelines, other than colours and typefaces, for the application of a visual identity. The brief was to start to create consistent application of the brand without any specific brand guidelines.
Creative response ... what did I do?
Davey’s current communications were dated and focussed towards trade and agricultural markets. Their material aimed at the domestic market looked more trade than retail. The creative response was to design a range of communication pieces, including adverts, brochures, in-store communication, product displays and packaging to suit the retail market.
